1. Overview
DealBridge ("we", "our", or "us") is an escrow marketplace mobile application operated by Bhairayana Ventures LLP, a limited liability partnership registered in India. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal information when you use the DealBridge app ("App"). By using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Account Information
When you register or use the App, we collect: • Mobile phone number (used for OTP-based authentication) • Full name (optional, used for your profile) • Email address (required for sellers to receive payouts)
2.2 Seller Onboarding Information
If you register as a seller, we additionally collect: • Business name, business type, and description • Bank account details: account holder name, account number, IFSC code, and bank name (used solely for payout processing) • PAN card number and a photo of your PAN card (for KYC verification) • Aadhaar card number and photos of your Aadhaar card (for KYC verification) • Profile photograph (optional)
2.3 Transaction Data
We collect data related to orders and payments made through the App, including: • Order amounts, payment stages (deposit or full), and transaction status • Agreement details between buyers and sellers • Razorpay payment identifiers (order ID, payment ID, signature) — we do not store card numbers, CVV, UPI PINs, or other raw payment credentials
2.4 Device & Usage Information
We may collect: • Device type and operating system version • Push notification token (for order and payment alerts via Firebase Cloud Messaging) • App usage data for debugging and improving performance
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your personal information for the following purposes: • To create and manage your account • To authenticate you via OTP • To process and track escrow payments through Razorpay • To verify seller identity through KYC document review • To transfer seller payouts to their registered bank account • To send push notifications for order updates, payment confirmations, and application status • To resolve disputes between buyers and sellers • To comply with applicable laws, including anti-money laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) regulations in India • To improve and maintain the security of the App
5. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. Specifically: • Account data is retained until you request deletion • KYC documents are retained for a minimum of 5 years as required by Indian financial regulations • Transaction records are retained for 7 years for audit and tax compliance purposes • After account deletion, anonymised aggregate data may be retained indefinitely for analytics
6. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your information: • All data is transmitted over HTTPS (TLS 1.2 or higher) • KYC documents and sensitive data are stored with encryption at rest • Access to production data is restricted to authorised personnel with multi-factor authentication • Bank account details are never exposed to buyers or third parties beyond payout processing Despite these measures, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. App Permissions
The App requests the following device permissions: • Camera: To take photos of KYC documents (PAN card, Aadhaar card) and profile picture • Photo Library / Media Access: To upload existing photos of KYC documents from your device • Internet & Network State: Required for all App functionality • Notifications: To send order and payment alerts via push notifications (you can disable this in device settings) All permissions are requested only when needed and you can revoke them at any time through your device settings.
8. Your Rights
You have the following rights regarding your personal data: • Access: You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you • Correction: You may update your name and email address within the App • Deletion: You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data by emailing us. Note that certain data may be retained as required by law (see Section 5) • Withdraw Consent: You may revoke app permissions at any time through your device settings. 9. Children's Privacy
DealBridge is intended for users who are 18 years of age or older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take prompt steps to delete such information.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you through the App. Your continued use of the App after changes are published constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
